Bougie bakes baked in Baltimore, babe.

& Everything Nice is a local, home-based cottage bakery in Baltimore’s Hampden neighborhood. We specialize in cookies and other handheld sweets in glorious flavor combinations. Everything is made in small batches with high quality, all natural ingredients and a lotta love.

About & Everything Nice

& Everything Nice started as the third or fourth iteration of a fantasy baking business that I’ve been dreaming about on and off for years. I’ve always loved baking for friends and families, especially making fancy holiday cookie boxes, and this past holiday season enough people said, “You should really sell these,” that I finally decided to take y’all up on it!

In January 2026, I established & Everything Nice, LLC as a Cottage Food Business in Maryland, which means I’m allowed to sell specific kinds of food that I prepare in my home kitchen to customers within the state. Check out the Q&A section below for more on about Cottage Food and what that means.

In the coming weeks and months, I’ll be establishing my menu, recipe testing, refining my ordering process, applying to local markets and building the social media and brand from the ground up. I’m so excited for you to be here and I hope you’ll follow along with this journey!

xoxo, Dylan

Questions & Answers

& Everything Nice is a Cottage Food Business, which means I’m able to safely and legally sell baked goods made in my home kitchen.

The good news is that I can start my business and begin selling relatively quickly and with minimal startup costs.

The not-so-good news is that I’m pretty limited in what I am allowed to sell, and where. At this time, I am only allowed to sell food items to customers within the state of Maryland.

For more information, check out the Q&As. If you have more questions, send me an email or DM me on Instagram!

  • Cottage Food Businesses are businesses run out of someone’s home that produce and sell packaged food items. The laws around this special designation vary state-by-state, but the goal is to allow more people to produce and sell food they make in their homes with minimal upfront cost and regulatory barriers.

In order to be compliant, cottage food products must follow strict guidelines around labeling, moisture content, and pH to ensure the business is producing safe, shelf-stable products.

  • I started & Everything Nice as a cottage food business because it was the simplest, fastest way for me to start selling my bakes while still working my full-time job.

By starting from my house, I can use my startup funds to create delicious recipes, design fun packaging, and start selling much faster than if I had to work out of a commercial space.

I understand that it might be disappointing that folks outside of Maryland can’t purchase cookies from me yet, but fear not! You can still be involved in the launch and growth of & Everything Nice by following our social media, signing up for our email updates, and telling your friends in Marlyand about us. Plus, I am thinking of starting a merch line, and hope to expand into a commercial kitchen before too long.

  • To start, I’m focusing on cookies and other hand-held sweets.

For pre-orders, I’ll be selling packages and boxes of cookies in a variety of sizes and flavor combinations.

For markets, I’ll have smaller packages of cookies plus individual cafe-size cookies for purchase.

  • I’m still figuring out the exact details, but the plan is to launch weekly ordering in Spring 2026. Here’s the general flow:

    • Customers can place and pay for orders through this website during the ordering period (2-3 days).

    • Once the ordering period closes, I’ll produce and package the orders (2-3 days).

    • I’m working with local retailers and other businesses to see about partnering with them as & Everything Nice pickup points. I may be able to offer local delivery as well, but details to follow!

  • When I say “everything” nice, I mean EVERYTHING. I’m focusing on building unique, delicious recipes that celebrate and highlight the beauty and taste of natural ingredients. While we definitely eat with our eyes, at the end of the day, I want my bakes need to taste incredible.

Whenever possible, I will avoid using artificial ingredients like food dyes, artificial sugars, and ingredients that just taste bad (no fondant or royal icing here!). Instead, I’ll use naturally occurring, flavor-packed ingredients like my homemade vanilla extract, high quality chocolate, European style butter, and natural tea powders to elevate my bakes.

  • The short answer is no to custom, yes to bulk.

It’s my goal to build & Everything Nice into a scalable business, which means I need to curate my menu with producible, profitable items. Creating completely custom one-off items creates too many unknown variables and is very difficult to scale. Plus, there are so many bakers out there who are better at cookie and cake decorating than I am!

If you’re interested in bulk ordering, I plan to offer some discounts and incentives for larger orders. E-mail me with your inquiry and I’ll be happy to work with you!
